Blessing of the animals will be at St. Andrew's Oct. 3

St. Andrew's in-the-Pines Episcopal Church will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with a service of The Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, Oct. 1, at 5 p.m. Members of the community are invited to bring their animalsdogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, snakes, goats, horses, or any other animalto be blessed. Those participating are asked to bring appropriate materials to manage their pets. A nursery will be provided. St. Andrew's is at 316 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City. River's Edge to offer aerobics classes in October

Eight sessions of low-impact aerobics will be offered by River's Edge Community Church Monday and Thursday nights in October. Led by Sharon Smith-Lamb, a certified instructor, the classes will last from 6 - 7 p.m. The total cost os $38 and includes dyna bands and mats. First session is Oct. 2. Mcdonough Road ladies plan Harvest Brunch

The ladies at McDonough Road Baptist Church will have a Harvest Brunch on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Sign up at the church or call 770-460-5423.

Abundant Life Church offers Friday night 'fire' services

Abundant Life Worship Center invites the communiuty to attend its "Friday Night Fire Service" each Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Services feature praise and worship, preaching and prayer. The worship center is located at 1960 Ga. Hwy. 74 South in Tyrone.

McDonough Road youth plan lock-in

Single Parent Ministry training seminar is Sept. 30

The Fayetteville First Baptist Church will offer a Single Parent Ministry Training Seminar on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The one-day seminar, written by Larry Burkett, equips financial mentors to help single parents who need financial counseling. Fairburn's Faith Baptist plans yard sale

Faith Baptist Church at 6950 Rivertown Rd. in Fairburn will have a yard sale Saturday, Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. A large variety of items will be available for sale. Proceeds benefit the church's mission work. The sale will be held rain or shine.

Halloween pumpkins for sale at FUMC

The UMYF youth group at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is selling pumpkins for two weeks in October at "The Pumpkin Patch" on the grounds of the church on Lanier Avenue (Ga. Hwy. 54). Proceeds will go toward sponsoring youth on various spiritual retreats during the coming year. The Pumpkin Patch will be open each day from 10 a.m. until dark.
