Peachtree City's Jeremy Brostrom
recently finished up a successful junior season with the West Georgia
Braves.
He was named to the All-Gulf South Conference East Division first team
and the second team of the ABCA/Rawlings All-South Central Region baseball
team. It was the second time in his career to be named to the All-GSC
team.
Brostrom had an incredible 2000 season. He hit .352 with 12 home runs,
18 doubles and 56 RBIs. He has hit 41 career doubles as a Brave, the most
ever for a West Georgia player. He also has hit 29 home runs, 113 RBIs
and 158 base hits in his career at West Georgia, ranking him fourth all
time in school history
With one year left, Brostrom is looking forward to adding to those numbers
and his place in school history.
Brostrom has been starting in the outfield for the Braves since 1998 and
helped lead them to a GSC crown that season, as well as a third place
finish in the NCAA Division II National Championships. Beyond his success
on the field, Brostrom has also been named to the Gulf South Conference
Academic Honor Roll twice in his career and is a likely candidate again
this year.
