The second annual Quick-Turner reunion has been set for Saturday, Sept. 16.

Registration is at 9 a.m. The reunion is at the New Salem Baptist Church in north Griffin, 113 New Salem Road. Go south from Fayetteville down Ga. Highway 92 to just over the Flint River. Take Vaughn Road to the right, and then take New Salem Road to the left. The church is on the left.

Family members are asked to bring old pictures and stories to share.

There will be a discussion of the Turner connection to the Quicks of Marlboro, S.C., Georgia and Alabama, and on the arrival of Thomas Quick from Devon, England to Bertie, N.C. in 1718.

The family settled in Fayette, Spalding, Pike and Coweta counties.
