The town of Sharpsburg will celebrate the 16th annual Fall Festival this Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The festival features arts and crafts exhibitors, entertainment a lot of festival food favorites and fun for the whole family.

This year the festival has expanded to include the space next to the Sharpsburg Baptist Church. There will even be a 9 a.m. service Sunday to kick off the festivities. Also new to the festival this year is a kids corner, which will feature a moon walk, pony rides, face painting and a petting zoo. Other area churches get into the spirit as well. Cokes Chapel provides the barbecue and Crossroads Baptist provides food as well.

There will be close to 100 exhibitors in and around Old Town Sharpsburg over the weekend, offering such wares as woodwork, ceramics, paintings and more.

There will be antiques, performances from Rachel Ferguson's dancers, as well as music of many different styles. Also returning to the festival this year is the ever-popular tree climbing.

"The festival is just a traditional family fun day," said Sharon Bernocco, one of the festival's organizers. "It is a good way for the community to come together and have a good time."
