Alford family plans national family reunion in Augusta October 13-15

Members of the Alford family in Fayette and surrounding areas are invited to attend the Alford family annual meeting and national family reunion Friday-Sunday, Oct. 13-15 at the Partridge Inn in Augusta.

The nonprofit Missouri corporation, which meets on the second weekend in October in a different state each year, is for all branches of the family and includes over 100 spelling variations such as Halford, Alvord, Alfred, Olford, etc. The AAFA has more than 1115 member families who live in most states, Canada, England and Australia. There are over 240 member families in Georgia and immediately
surrounding states.

The meeting will include genealogy and history workshops, receptions, tours and an awards dinner on Saturday evening. Alford family material will be available.

One need not be a member of the association to attend, but registration is required and advance registration is highly recommended.
