New Presbyterian Church is now meeting in South Fayette

Dr. Martin Huggins, present pastor of College Park Presbyterian Church, is starting a new church in Fayette County which presently meets at the Calvin Center near Woolsey each Sunday. A special area serves as sanctuary but outdoor worship is also planned.

Dr. Huggins says part of his vision includes beginning with small groups, contemporary music and plenty of outdoor activity.

This new ministry, Dr. Huggins says, should be an informal, sincere worship, one that puts the newcomer at ease, especially the unchurched.

"The emphasis will be on the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ," he says, "with singing and recreation." Services are at 3 p.m. each Sunday afternoon.
