Column should have been on front page

I enjoyed your article in the Wednesday Citizen, "Is our way of life doomed?"
How can it not be? You requested thoughts on whether or not it is good and right that we plunder the pockets of the rich. That is a ridiculous question.
The fact that you have a reason to ask a question like that certainly in itself tells you that we are lost. Look at where we have gone in the last 50 years and the major turn in the last 10.
People are too busy and oblivious to make time to see if where we are heading is the right place to be.
In my opinion, your article should have made front page! What is the mentality of the people you work around? The Fayette band going to Australia is more important? The fact is, we are doomed! Our country is too far-gone and the people deceived to make a change that will turn us back around.
The scary thing is, we will never be at the point and place to where we adore what we stand for and who we are like our forefathers did almost 300 years ago.
Only war on our soil will make us question, "Is our way of life doomed?" and, "Where did we go wrong?"
