Lady Tigers netters record more victories

The Lady Tigers volleyball team continued to bank wins and remain undefeated, overpowering four teams last week.

The Lady Tigers soundly defeated region opponents Forest Park and Jonesboro in their second match of the season. Faced with the powerful serving of Crystal Rene deCotret, Kriostin french and Christine Pritchett, the teams from Clayton County appeared immobilized. Fayette County, playing with a mixture of finesse and power, won easily, outscoring Forest Park 15-1 and 15-0, and Jonesboro, 15-3 and 15-2.

Led by seniors Valerie Warr and Pritchett, the Lady Tigers strategically placed hits and dumped passes for points. Defensive specialistd Ashley Stoll’s and deCotret’s digs and accurate passes kept their opponents scores to a minimum. The team kept their winning streak alive by defeating Troup County, 15-5 and 15-4 and Northgate, 15-5 and 15-3.

The Lady Tigers face rival McIntosh in a three team match on Thursday at the Kedron Fieldhouse.
