Fayetteville Christian women plan salad supper
Women of Worth (W.O.W.) at the Fayetteville Christian Church will have a salad supper Monday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. at the church. Jonesboro church announces Homecoming plans
Poston Road Baptist Church in Jonesboro will have its Homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 10, with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. Guest speaker will be Gladwin (Glady) G. Kreiman, Sr. A covered dish fellowship meal will be held after the service. All members, former members, family and friends are invited to bring their favorite dishes and attend. Adult classes start tonight at Providence UMC
Two new classes for adults will begin tonight at Providence United Methodist Church. Money Matters, the 10-10-80, led by Danny Williams, will continue for five weeks, and Creation Study, led by Rich Michael, will continue for eight weeks. Kenwood offers weight loss seminar

Teens invited to youth convention in Knoxville
Middle and high school youth at Fayetteville Christian Church are invited to attend a Youth Convention Friday through Sunday, Nov. 3-5 in Knoxville, Tenn. The convention will feature top speakers and music, including Audio Adrenaline. A $35 convention deposit is due by Sunday. Sept. 24, and the $50 hotel cost is due by Sunday, Oct. 29. Money for food in the amount of $50 will be needed by the day of the trip. Youth trips work scholarships are available and must be initiated by the student at the time of initial deposit. Circus outing planned at Fayetteville Christian
Children at Fayetteville Christian Church are invited to attend a matinee performance of Barnum’s Kaleidoscope Circus on Saturday, Sept. 23. The group will leave the church by noon (lunch is not planned) and will have an opportunity to meet the performers before the show. Fayetteville UMC plans church-wide retreat
All members of Fayetteville United Methodist Church are invited to the 5th annual church-wide retreat at Camp Calvin in Hampton Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6 and 7. The retreat is open to people of all ages, church members and visitors alike. Reservations with deposit are required, and several price options are available. Christ Our Hope plans fall adult retreat
Members of Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will have fall adult retreat led by Pastor Halenza at Camp Calvin in Hampton on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20 and 21. Activities will begin with a dinner Friday night at 7 p.m. The retreat will conclude Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. The cost is $45 per person and includes meals and one night’s lodging. Holy Land trip scheduled
Members of Peachtree City United Methodist Church are planning a trip to the Holy Land Feb. 4-14, 2001. Cost is approximately $2,200 from Atlanta, and includes air fare, hotels, meals and tours. Seniors invited to join ‘McFolks’ at MRBC
Senior adults in the community are invited to be a part of the ‘McFolks’ group at McDonough Road Baptist Church. The group participates in out-of-town trips, local get-togethers, and has its own choir at the church. Committee members at the church include Al Bushnoe, Gene Conway, Barbara Moss, Helen Odom and Mary Player, director. The Senior Singing Adult Choir meets on Wednesday mornings.
