* An NRA Pistol Shooting Course will be offered by certified NRA Instructor Anthony P. Crescimanno. Call 770-487-0874 for more information.


* 16, 17 and 18 year olds from Fayette, Coweta, southern Clayton and Henry Counties are currently being registered for Big League Baseball. Sunday double-headers will begin mid-September. Contact Linda North at 770-487-8081 before Aug. 27 for information.


* Southern Crescent Junior Team Tennis, for juniors ages 7-18, will play in the 2000 season Sept. 29-Nov. 11. Registration runs from Aug. 7-20. The cost is $13 USTA Jr. membership, $16 league fee and cost of team coaching. Pick up registration forms at Peachtree City Tennis Center. For more information, call Yvonne Shular at 770-487-3571.


* The Peachtree City Tennis Center is accepting registration for their Fall Ladies League. Matches will be played on Wednesdays beginning in September and Team coaching begins in August. Call 770-486-9474 for more information.

The Tyrone Softball Association will hold registration on Saturday, Aug.19 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday Aug. 20 from 1-4 p.m. at the Tyrone Recreation Center for girls ages 4-18. On Monday, Sept. 11, Christian City will hold their annual Fall Golf Classic at Smokerise Golf and Country Club in Stone Mountain. For $150, golfers can play this exclusive course. The cost includes free range balls,snack lunch, after tournament buffet and a tax deductible donation of $70 to the Chrostian City Home for Children. Call 770-703-2636.


The organiztional meeting for the 2000 adult flag football program has been scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 22 starting at 7:30 p.m. in meetng room #2 at the Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center. The program is available to adult men and women over the age of 18. A minimum of four teams are needed to start a league.
