Tom's Tee Time Golf Review - Arbor Springs

Arbor Springs Golf Course is off Ga. Highway 29 in Newnan. This course is considered to be one of the more challenging courses in the area.

I found the employees to be very helpful whether you are an avid golfer or a beginner. General manager Bill Jardine and assistant general manager, Mike Cerqua are very hands on and quite helpful as well. This is the most family-oriented course I have had the pleasure to play yet.

The fairways are tight but that is part of this course's charm. The course has a personality that requires it to be played conservatively, not aggressively. The greens are kept in excellent condition and very firm. Therefore, you will want to drop high and watch where you land your ball.

If you enjoy a challenging but fair course and have not played this one in the last six months, I strongly recommend you give it a second look. There has been a lot of clearing and work performed on this course for the better since its beginning.

In conclusion, this course gets a "Tom Summers Hole In One." Contact Mike Cerqua at Arbor Springs (770-683-4727) for tee times. Best of all, twilight golf starts at 3 p.m. at only $25 and gets better from there.

Tom Summers has been an avid golfer and fan for 15 years. He frequents courses throughout the Southeast and has played in several tournaments as well.

Summers lives with his wife and three daughters in Newnan, and owns his own company there. He plays three to four times a week and enjoys recommending the best holes to his fellow golfers. Tee off with Tom at crimefree1@aol.com.
