Laurie Kleckner, a 2000 graduate of McIntosh High School, was recently awarded the Pathway Communities Scholarship.

The $1,000 college scholarship is awarded by Pathway Communities in recognition of a graduating senior who has demonstrate a commitment to academics and the community. This is the 14th year Pathway has given the award.

While at McIntosh, Kleckner maintained a 3.98 GPA and was active in the schools band, Beta Club, National Honor Society, National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine and her church youth group.

This fall, Kleckner will be attending Mercer University and plans to study pre-pharmacy.
