Kenneth Hardisty has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing od Northwestern Mutual insurance company. Hardisty is a graduate of the University of Texas, Arlington with a BBA in management and economics.

Barry Ellis of the financial-services firm Edward Jones opened his new office at 2338 Ga. Highway 54 in Peachtree City.

Ellis, who has been serving the people of Peachtree City since 1994, said he decided to move to the new office because it provides the space to accommodate his growing business.

President and CEO of Peachtree National Bank Wm. Ronald Duffey recently announced the addition of Mark Gilmer to the bank's staff as assistant vice president and commercial lender. Gilmer will work out of the Riverdale office, which covers Clayton and Henry counties.

Gordon Kitchens and Wendell Peters were the guest speakers at the July meeting of the South Metro Conditioned Air Association of Georgia.

The organization's goal is to improve quality in the heating and cooling contractor industry. Major focuses are legislation, licensing, permitting and training.

Peachtree City's Steven Hale, CLU, financial representative, received the Diamond Award at the annual Northwestern Mutual Association of Agents meeting.

He received the award for sales achievements ending May 31.

Dr. Scott Cahoon has joined Resurgens Orthopaedics. Cahoon will be seeing patients at both the Stockbridge office and the location at 1391 Ga. Highway 54 in Fayetteville.

The Fayette County Board of Realtors recently passed proceeds from last year's Noel November to three organizations.

The Fayette County Schools Mentoring Program, Asden-Johnson Youth Home and the Redwine Recreation Center received funds from the real estate community's annual Christmas event.

This year's event is Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Redwine Recreation Center in Fayetteville. Tickets will be sold later this summer.

Newnan's Express Personnel Services recently was certified ISO 9002 compliant, said owner Don King. ISO 9002 is an international standard for quality management, placing stringent requirements on business processes.

Anita Price, CLU, is a new State Farm agent at 109-A North 85 Parkway in Fayetteville. Price is a graduate of Jackson State University with a B.S. in management and has 20 years experience with State Farm.
