McDonough Rd. announces summer activities for kids

Children and teens at McDonough Road Baptist Church have a wealth of summer activities to choose from before the summer break is over.

From 2 p.m. Friday, July 28 until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29, children in grades three through six can enjoy “The Rock Ranch Conestoga Campout.” The fee is $20.

On Monday, July 31, children ages 4 and 5 and those in first through third grades are invited to enjoy the Noah's Ark Animal Adventure. The fee is $3 and those attending are asked to bring a sack lunch.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 1-3, the fifth and sixth grade Bible Drill Team will take a trip to Gatlinburg, leaving the church at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and returning by late evening on Thursday.

First through third graders can enjoy Sci-Trek on Monday, Aug. 7. The fee is $5 and those attending are asked to bring a sack lunch.

A trip to Chattanooga is planned for Tuesday, Aug. 7. The cost is $25.

Reservations for all activities are required in advance so that arrangements can be made for chaperones and transportation.
