Local Christian radio station to sponsor 'World's Largest Baby Shower' this Saturday

A local Christian radio station is hosting what it calls “The World's Largest Baby Shower” this weekend. Items collected will be donated to three local pregnancy care facilities in the Atlanta area. New or like-new items are requested.

Peachtree City-based J93.3 FM, will host the event from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. this Saturday, July 29, at three different locations in the metro area.

Donations taken to Dixieland Fun Park in Fayetteville will benefit Fayette Crisis Pregnancy Center. Items taken to the Wal-Mart Superstore in Douglasville will be given to the Douglasville Pregnancy Center, and items taken to the Stillwater Gallery in Woodstock will be donated to the Hope Center.

Items needed include baby socks, diapers (newborn to 4), clothing to size 2, baby clothes hangers, receiving blankets, bedding sets, hooded towels, washcloths, baby lotion, shampoo, baby bath, baby oil, nail clippers, crib sheets, bottles, new pacifiers, baby wipes, diaper rash ointment, baby books, rattles and baby spoons and bowls.

Also carriers, high chairs, baby toys, bassinets, car seats, nursing gowns, new undergarments, adult hangers and maternity clothes.
