Fishing
with Chris Foster Capturing reservoir bass Clear water fishing for bass on lakes and reservoirs has always been labeled tough fishing by many anglers. But, if you know certain things to do when fishing these clear water lakes and reservoirs, you will catch fish other people won't catch. In clear water lakes and reservors make long casts, down-size your fishing line, use green-colored fishing line and down-scale your lures in size. Also, work lures faster than normal, fish closer to structures such as boat docks, and cast as many as 10 times to one piece of structure. To capture summer reservoir bass, you have to know where they hide. Summer reservoir bass like to use submerged roadbeds as traveling and feeding routes. Many of these submerged roadbeds offer real good holding areas such as ditches, rocks and other added fish attractors. To locate these submerged roadbeds use lake maps and look for old roads that enter and leave lakes from the shoreline. Lures to use to effectively fish these submerged roadbeds are crankbaits, Texas rigged worms, Carolina rigged lizards, grubs and jigs. If you follow these simple things I have mentioned, then you will be a good fisherman in clear water lakes and reservoirs. Good fishing Chris Foster |
