superstore open for business By
JOHN THOMPSON The county's crafts enthusiasts have a new place to search for that perfect decorative item. Hobby Lobby opened recently in the old WalMart in Fayetteville and is a arts and crafts nirvana for hobby lovers. Inside the spacious store is more than 30,000 sq.ft. of arts, crafts, floral arrangements and seasonal items. Strolling the aisles, shoppers almost experience sensory overload as display after display offers one-of-a-kind items not seen in Fayetteville previously. For the artist, the store features a variety of canvases and paints to create a unique artwork. Other sections include a huge fabric department, a do-it-yourself section, a model area and home decor department. One of the larger parts of the store is the seasonal area and it's already well-stocked with Christmas displays. Ornaments, garland and lights give the customer a real Christmas in July feeling. Another seasonal area is the fall area, which cools you down just by seeing the amazing display of fall foliage and Halloween decorations. The store is open seven days a week and offers something for the serious craftsman, as well as somebody who is looking for a hobby. |
