presents plays for children Offshoot Productions will present The Tale of the Frog Prince and The Further Adventures of Maide Marian in repertory at the LaFayette Educational Center in Fayetteville from July 20 to July 30. The participatory musicals, which draw on children from the audience to take part in the action, will be previewed on Thursday, July 20, at 7:30 p.m. Admission for this special performance, which includes both shows, is $6. Regular performances, with a ticket price of $5, begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, with The Further Adventures of Maide Marian. This show will also be presented on Saturday, July 22, at 8:00 p.m.; on Thursday, July 27, at 1:30 p.m.; and on Saturday, July 29, and Sunday, July 30, at 3 p.m. The Tale of the Frog Prince is scheduled for Saturday, July 22, and Sunday, July 23, at 3:00 p.m.; Thursday, July 27, at 10:30 a.m.; and Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29, at 8:00 p.m. In The Further Adventures of Maide Marian, Robin Hood is up in a tree and Maide Marian, the best swordswoman in all of England, must figure out why he is hiding. During the play, Maide Marion chooses audience members to become part of her gang. Friar Tuck lends a hand, as do Alan O'Dale and the good witch, Mad Molly, as they fight the mysterious force known as the Hithero. The Tale of the Frog Prince is a new musical look at a much-loved story: a prince has been turned into a frog and must be kissed by a princess to return to his original human form. A magical elf and a down-to-earth princess befriend the Frog Prince. Other characters include a haughty queen, a hen-pecked king, a demanding princess and a stuck-up prince. Tickets will be available after July 4 at the Peachtree City Library, the Fayette County Library, Omega Book Center in Peachtree City and the Fayette Book Shop in Fayetteville.
