camps available at North Georgia College By
MICHAEL BOYLAN North georgia College and state University will be the site of several athletic camps in the coming weeks. There will be a basketball camp open to boys ages 7-18 the weeks of July 9-13 and July 23-27. The camp director will be Randy Dunn, the Athletic Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach. Basketball camps for girls ages 7-18 will be offered July 16-20. There will be a camp for varsity high school teams only offered on July 14 and 15. The camp director for the girls camp is Buffie Burson-Watson, the Assistant-Athletic Director and the coach of the women's team at North Georgia Overnight and day camps will be offered. A fast-pitch softball camp for girls ages 11-18 will be offered July 23-27. The camp director will be Rick Sanders, the Head Women's Softball Coach. The camp is offered either as an overnight camp or a day camp. The baseball camps, open to boys ages 7-18, will run July 17-21 and July 31-Aug. 4 as day camps only. There will also be a pitcher-catcher camp offered July 15-16 as a day camp. Head Baseball Coach Tom Cantrell will be the camp director. Players ages 7-12 will be able to attend the camp July 17-21 from 6-9 p.m. Players ages 13-18 will be able to attend the camp July 24-28 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The camp directors for the soccer camps will be Mark Howarth, the coach of the men's team and Curly Denier, the coach of the women's team.
