Special program at Providence UMC tonight

A visiting youth choir from Kettering, Ohio, will perform “Faithseekers,” a musical on Christian faith journeys at the Providence United Methodist Church tonight, June 21, at 7 p.m. The community is invited to attend.

Heritage Christian to begin Grief Recovery group

Heritage Christian Church has announced the beginning of a grief recovery support group for those who have lost loved ones. All are invited to join, whether their loss was recent or not. An informational dinner for those interested in attending is scheduled for Thursday, June 22 at the home of Greg and Eliana Marksberry. Fayetteville Christian youth head for Fernbank Sat.

Middle and high school youth at Fayetteville Christian Church are invited to join in a trip to Fernbank Science Center this Saturday, June 24, at 4 p.m. for the 5 p.m. presentation of the show “Dolphins ” in the IMAX theater. Dinner at the Varsity is planned afterwards. Cost of the IMAX is $7 plus the cost of food at the Varsity. The group will return to the church about 8:30 p.m. Friends and parents are welcome. Bethany men schedule breakfast

The men at Bethany United Methodist Church will have breakfast at the church on Saturday, June 24, at 8 a.m. After breakfast the group will have a work day. All men of the church are invited.

Bethany's Circle of Love to host churchwide lunch

The Circle of Love at Bethany United Methodist Church invites members to stay for a churchwide lunch following morning worship this Sunday, June 25. The luncheon will be to raise funds for projects around the church. Members will also have a chance to meet and talk with the new pastor, Rev. Mark Outlaw.

Olivet Baptist plans revival June 26-30

Learn about River's Edge in `RECC 101'

Those interested in learning more about River's Edge Community Church are invited to attend “RECC 101,” on Sunday afternoon, July 9 from 2-6 p.m. The class unfolds RECC's belief on salvation, tells how the church is structured, discusses the church's strategy, and tells how the inner life of the church is conducted. Braves game on tap for RECC members

Members of River's Edge Community church are invited to attend the baseball game between the Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday, Aug. 12 at Turner Field. River's Edge ladies plan brunch July 8

Ladies of River's Edge Community Church will have a brunch on Saturday, July 8 at 9 a.m. at the church. No reservations are needed. Those attending should bring a breakfast dish to share.

FUMC members plan baseball outing

Members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will travel to Turner Field to watch the Atlanta Braves play the New York Mets on Saturday, July 22. The church has purchased 100 tickets for the game which starts at 1:05 p.m. Tickets are $25. The group will gather in the Center Field Pavilion for a hot dog lunch prior to the game. FFBC will have Parents' Day Out program in July

Parents with children age six weeks through third grade (completed) are invited to enroll their children in the Parents' Day Out program at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 6-27, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The cost is $70. `Born Again Bargains' now open in Fairburn

Southwest Christian Hospice's “Born Again Bargains” store, which had its grand reopening last August, continues to offer used items at bargain prices with proceeds going to a hospice projects and expenses. The store is in Hudson Plaza on U.S. Hwy. 29 in Fairburn. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays. Southwest Christian Hospice, located on Lester Rd. in Union City, is a nonprofit ministry providing quality hospice health care at no cost to patients or their families.

Peachtree City UMC announces new worship schedule

Members of Peachtree City United Methodist Church have begun a new schedule of services for the summer months. Worship services are now offered at 9, 10:10 and 11:11 a.m. each Sunday. Summer Sunday School classes meet at 10:10 only. The church is located on the corner of Windgate Rd. and Peachtree Parkway.

Seniors invited to join `McFolks' at MRBC

Senior adults in the community are invited to be a part of the `McFolks' group at McDonough Road Baptist Church. The group participates in out-of-town trips, local get-togethers, and has its own choir at the church. Committee members at the church include Al Bushnoe, Gene Conway, Barbara Moss, Helen Odom and Mary Player, director. The Senior Singing Adult Choir meets on Wednesday mornings.
