Operation Round-Up allows Coweta-Fayette EMC members to literally round up their monthly electric bills to the next highest dollar and contribute the difference to a fund that assists individuals and organizations in need. Since its inception in 1993, Coweta-Fayette EMC members have contributed more than $1 million to the local community. Operation Round-Up may very well be the most important community effort that has ever been made by our EMC, stated the company's president and CEO, Michael C. Whiteside. Our member/owners voluntarily participate in the program, and it's a painless way to increase the amount of help that each could give individually. Working together, though, each of can make a difference! For over 50 years, Coweta-Fayette EMC has worked to provide electricity at the lowest possible prices, charge a fair price and respond immediately when there are outages. Coweta, Fayette, Heard, Meriwether, Troup, South Fulton and parts Spalding Counties are served by the cooperative. Coweta-Fayette EMC is a member of Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, a national alliance of EMCs committed to the highest standards of providing customers large and small with the latest technology, while maintaining personal service and affordable rates. Its involvement with the local community is a cornerstone of the member-owned utility. If you know of someone who might benefit from Operation Round-Up, please contact your local EMC office at 770.502.0226 for more information and an application. |
