If you have AT&T Cable Services and find yourself watching MTV, ESPN or Channel 19 a lot, you may see a commercial for a new television program coming to the area this fall. In fact, if you know any member of the Chiefettes, you may know some of the people in the commercial.

Starting this September, McIntosh High School and AT&T Cable Services will broadcast “McIntosh Prime Time,” a weekly program broadcasting the varsity football game and recapping the highlights of the varsity athletics. AT&T Cable Services and McIntosh have joined up to create an affiliated partnership called High Chief Productions, which filmed the commercial for their upcoming program.

The commentators for the program, which is scheduled to air Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6:45 to 9 p.m., will be Buddy Woolf and Johnathan McGavin. Other McIntosh students working on the project include Kelly Turner, Ben Allen, Mohammed Momin, Cecil Wang, Andrew Guillory, Jason Casper, Patrick McDonough, Patrick McDougal and Phillip Rice. The students will handle all of the responsibilities from shooting the games to editing the tapes.

Woolf started the project at McIntosh last August after transferring from a school in North Carolina. He worked directly with the school administration and has paved the way to bring the program to the air.

“McIntosh Prime Time” will be a great way to promote athletics at McIntosh, while also giving students hands-on broadcasting experience. After football season, the show will broadcast basketball games in the winter and soccer games in the spring. AT&T Cable Services is McIntosh High School's Partner in Education.
