Transplant House under construction in Gwinnett

Brayson Homes has begun construction of the 2000-2001 Transplant House in Haverford Place, the company's new residential community in Lilburn.

Haverford Place is located on Ga. Highway 29 north of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and south of Indian Trail. The telephone number is 770-279-9004.

This is the fifth year that Brayson Homes is constructing and selling a Transplant House. The house is built with the understanding that when it is sold, 100 percent of the profits will go to the Georgia Transplant Foundation.

The profits from Transplant House sales are much larger than are usually received from the sale of a home, since many of Brayson Homes' contractors, suppliers, and others donate labor and materials for the yearly project. The four previous Transplant Houses have brought in $289,753 for the Georgia Transplant Foundation.

Gwinnett-based Brayson Homes, founded in 1977, has produced over 5,000 new homes, most of them in Gwinnett County. In recent years, the company has also entered the DeKalb and Cobb markets.

Brayson Homes is one of only a few of the 13,000 builders in the more than 20-year history of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Program to receive the prestigious Diamond Builder award for quality construction and customer service.

The company earned two awards in 1999 in the prestigious Professional Competition sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Sales & Marketing Council. One of these awards, a Gold Award for Community Service, was for the Transplant House project.
