Southern Crescent Mortgage marks 10 years

Over 100 guests turned out Friday, May 12, for the 10th Anniversary celebration at Fayetteville-based Southern Crescent Mortgage.

Those in attendance were able to tour the facilities at 145 West Lanier Ave. in Fayetteville; enjoy food, beverages and music; and socialize with Southern Crescent Mortgage representatives.

Door prize winners at the event included Buddy Frost, four tickets to an Atlanta Braves game; Sonia Hoseman, gift certificate from Paragon Salon; Jennifer Haines, gift from Cookies to You; Carmen Salazar, gift from Belk; Nelson Salazar, gift certificate from Long Branch; Larry Latham, gift certificate from Tanner's; Faith Latham, cocoa and coffees from The Cigar & Pipe Shop; R. H. Brannon, gift certificate from Fat City; Susan Hall, dish garden from Wildwood Florists; Dot Kite, movie tickets from Tinseltown; Betty Hannah, golf passes to WhiteWater Country Club; Denise Hammock, gift from Dunkin' Donuts; Jessica Noel, gift certificate from Fat City; and Ernie Kearns, gift from Dunkin' Donuts.

Southern Crescent Mortgage was cofounded by Ray Hannah, now the board chairman, who was on hand for the anniversary celebration. He was joined by his wife Betty, who is the longtime mayor of Fairburn; and his sons Ron, Robert and Ray Jr. Ron Hannah is the company's president, while Robert Hannah now serves as vice president/chief financial officer.

The company has other offices in Stockbridge and Griffin and is looking to open locations in Peachtree City and Coweta County.

Southern Crescent Mortgage offers all kinds of conforming and nonconforming loans, including conventional, first time homebuyer programs, FHA, VA, Farmers Home loans, second mortgages, lines of credit, and construction loans.
