Southern Crescent Mortgage has opened a new branch office at 828 West Taylor St. in Griffin. The telephone number is 770-233-3533. The new office will be staffed by loan officers Camille Massey and Tracy Brock.

Ms. Massey, the 1999 “Affiliate Member of the Year” for the Griffin Board of Realtors, was her company's Loan Officer of the Month for February.

A Griffin resident since 1989, she has been working in Southern Crescent Mortgage's Fayetteville office. She has been in the mortgage loan field for nine years, serving both as a loan officer and as a branch office manager and working primarily in Spalding and Fayette Counties. She also has 22 years of experience in banking.

Mrs. Brock, a Fayette County native who now lives in Pike County, had nine years of banking experience when she entered the mortgage loan industry in fall of 1998, working for another company in McDonough and Griffin. Since joining the Southern Crescent Mortgage staff recently, she has been working from the firm's office in Fayetteville.

Southern Crescent Mortgage is headquartered in Fayetteville and has another branch office in Stockbridge. Projected future branch locations include Peachtree City and Coweta County.

Founded in early 1990, the company offers all types of conforming and nonconforming loans, including conventional, first time homebuyer programs, FHA, VA, Farmers Home loans, second mortgages, lines of credit, and construction loans.
