Scholarship recipeints announced

The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia announced the year 2000 recipients of its annual scholarship program at the association's April meeting, held recently at WhiteWater Country Club.

Representatives of the association introduced the 12 scholarship recipients, including the following:

Fayette County High School - Hannah Akin and Kati Turner.

McIntosh High School - Allison Lynn Laffan.

Sandy Creek High School - Amy Hunter.

Starr's Mill High School - Kelvin Fears and Russel Troesken.

Newnan High School - Samuel Duenckel and Rebecca Clemente.

East Coweta High School - Kimberly Noah and Emily Thompson.

Griffin High School - David Wilkerson and Daryl Reynolds.

Funding for the scholarships is provided by the association's Scholarship House Program, which was begun in 1984. Over the years, a total of 126 scholarships of $1,000 or more have been awarded. The Scholarship House is built utilizing volunteer time and materials from members of the association.
