Susan Fitzgerald of The Home Source Realtors - with more than $12 million in residential sales during 1999 - has been named among Atlanta's top seven individual real estate agents working with General Brokerage companies.

Communities Magazine recently included Fitzgerald in its list of Atlanta's Best 100 Realtors.

Fitzgerald has earned The Home Source Realtors Agent of the Year honors each year since affiliating with the company's Peachtree City General Brokerage office in 1995. She also is a registered appraiser.

Superior customer service and a genuine interest in helping the home buyers and home sellers with whom she works are hallmarks of Fitzgerald's business, according to her customers and fellow real estate professionals.

“You can tell from her zestful enthusiasm that Susan loves her job and she loves helping people. She has a wonderful sense of humor that helps to defuse those awkward tense moments which sometimes come up during buyer/seller negotiations,” said Ed and Patty Richardson, who have bought and sold four homes with Susan's assistance. “During the last four years we have come to know Susan not only as a wonderful Realtor but a quality individual as well.”

In the highly competitive real estate field, Fitzgerald's kindness and often unheralded thoughtful gestures are appreciated by her fellow agents.

“Besides being one of the hardest working persons I know, she is also among the most caring,” said Nancy Crowe of The Home Source Realtors. “She called daily, brought food, and took care of our business when I had major surgery recently. She even sent flowers when I returned from the difficult task of euthanizing our family pet.”

A diminutive dynamo, Fitzgerald's hectic 60-hour weeks often include late-evening appointments and paperwork, and constant telephone, fax, and e-mail communications with her customers. She attributes much of her success to a supportive family.

“Their understanding of my erratic schedule and helpfulness around the house mean a lot,” she said.

“Susan is a true professional,” said The Home Source Realtors Broker Tutt Larsen. “She has that unique blend of organization and dedication that make her a leader, and generosity and caring that are appreciated by customers and her business contemporaries.”

Fitzgerald recently relocated to another home in Peachtree City as hers became a three-generation family. “I know firsthand the anxiety of moving while trying to maintain a regular lifestyle. It's a real adjustment, and I try to help my customers with many of their relocation details,” she said.

She is a Life Member of the Fayette County Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club and a recipient of the Million Dollar Circle Award from the National Sales and Marketing Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
