Surf the internet while you shed pounds

The list of reasons for Fayette Countians not to work out just got shorter.

“Working out is boring,” and “I don't have time are just two of the excuses going by the wayside at Gold's Gym.

With the advent of Netpulse at the two locations, health and fitness consumers will be able to surf the Web, check e-mail, check stocks, shop online, listen to CDs or watch television, all while sweating off those extra pounds.

If working out on the Internet isn't enough of an incentive, users also earn frequent flyer miles and win points towards prizes, gift certificates and workout gear every time they work out.

The additional cost of this innovative workout is nothing and it's fast. The high-speed DSL Internet connection is faster than most users have at home.

The Fayette County Gold's Gym is the only Atlanta fitness center south of Interstate 20 to have Netpulse.

“Our members are excited about being able to use Netpulse while working out,” said Selina Gaspard, Gold's Gym Fayette County Club director. “We were all watching the installation closely to see who could be first to use it.”

The two Gold's Gyms in Fayette County are located at Ga. Highway 54 near the Publix Shopping Center. Gold's Gym Peachtree City West is on the corner of Ga. Highway 74 and Aberdeen Parkway.
