Starr's
Mill wins JV baseball tournament Starr's Mill High School won the Division I championship title of the JV Summer Baseball Classic tournament hosted by Fayette County High School over the weekend. Starr's Mill had a perfect 4-0 record while Sandy Creek went 3-1, good for second place in the Division I portion of the tourney. Fayette County High School's number two team, essentially made up of freshmen, won first place in Division III of the tournament. The squad also had a perfect record of 4-0, ahead of the College Park River Bandits. North Cobb won the Division II championship, while second place went to the Chattahoochee Storm from Gainesville. Seventeen teams participated in the tournament, which was at Fayette County, McIntosh and Starr's Mill high schools. |
