Dr. Cliff Bost, son of Fayette County Commission Chairman Harold Bost, of the Peachtree City Bass Anglers, recently qualified for the state team to represent the Georgia BASS Club Federation at the divisional tournament in June.

Bost finished in eighth place at the Georgia BASS Club Federation's Top 6 tournament. Close to 600 anglers competed in the two-day tournament. During the tournament, each angler is allowed to weigh in five fish per day with the highest total weight determining the winners and place. Bost caught nine fish at 24.55 pounds total. He won a trophy and a $500 check for his efforts.

He will now compete in the Divisional Tournament at Lake Walter F. George in Eufala, Ala., June 21-23.

Qualifying to represent the Georgia BASS Club Federation at the Divisional Tournament is quite an accomplishment and honor for a club angler. The angler can eventually compete in the BASS Master's Classic should he do well at the Divisional and National Championship tournaments. The BASS Master's Classic is the highest level of competition that any angler can attain. It is the World Series of bass fishing.
