Fayette County gets ready to March for Jesus

The third annual March for Jesus is scheduled for Saturday, June 10 in Fayetteville. Participants should assemble in the parking lot of Fayette County High School off Tiger Trail.

“Bring your banners, your steppers, your praisers, your musicians, and get in line for the most exciting march of the year,” said Dr. John Hatcher, march coordinator and pastor of River's Edge Community Church. “As we march, we will be joining Christians in every time zone who will demonstrate Christian unity. The march is not about any particular church or denomination,” he added.

Churches which can provide a “portable praise band” should contact Rev. Ray Walker at River's Edge (770- 719-0303). Tek-Rail will provide trucks and flatbeds for the musical groups. However, each church or ministry is asked to provide their own gas-powered generator. Sonrise Bookstore and WVFJ-FM will be supporting the march.

To help defray the expense of the march, churches are asked to donate $100 if possible to the South Metro Ministers Council, an umbrella organization for the march.
