New
web site for bike lovers When local cyclists and tourists look to get back on a bike this summer, they may wonder where to find some appealing places to ride. The North Georgia Bike Dealers Association has the answers with its newly updated web site bike4fun.com. This web site is a great resource for people interested in learning more about cycling in Georgia, said Allen Griffin, owner of Perpetual Motion Bicycle Shop Inc. in Carrollton. People should bookmark it and view it regularly because its contents are always changing. The web site offers an events and race calendar with regularly updated race results, which has been popular with local competitors. Bike4fun.com also features descriptions of places to ride throughout Georgia, including newly opened paths and locations not traditionally thought of as cycling destinations. Several bicycle shops have links to additional sites filled with more cycling tips and news. Many times riders use the site to find local places to ride and discover many locations just outside their door, which they never knew existed, said Griffin. The site also has a feedback form which encourages cyclists to input their own favorite riding spots; that way the list keeps on growing. In addition, cyclists can locate reputable bike shops and get further information about the North Georgia Bike Dealers Association along with the Association's Get Back on a Bike! month giveaways during May. |
