PTC First Presbyterian will begin offering expanded worship schedule this Sunday

The First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City is expanding its Sunday morning format to enhance worship services and offer additional Sunday School classes.

Beginning Sunday, may 28, the First gathering contemporary worship service will begin at 9;30 a.m., while the traditional service will remain at 11 a.m. Sunday School classes for adults, youth and children will be offered from 11 a.m. until noon, for those attending the contemporary service, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for those attending the traditional service. There is a social time from 10:30-11 a.m.

A relaxed atmosphere, casual dress and praise songs are hallmarks of the contemporary worship service, a significant part of First Presbyterian Church's identity. With a praise band—including vocals, guitars, percussion and keyboard—and pastors Don Smith and Matt Hilgaertner, First Gathering offers a fresh contemporary format while maintaining essential elements of reformed worship.

First Presbyterian Church is on Willowbend Rd. near the Peachtree City City Hall and across from Picnic Park. For more information, call the church office at 770-487-7757.
