Sleep Over Bills? CCCS/Atlanta Now Offers 24-hour
Assistance If you're waking up in the middle of the night worrying about overdue bills, you can now pick up the phone and speak with a certified credit counselor. Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Atlanta has qualified professionals available to help consumers 24-hours a day. "We've expanded our counseling staff to provide services 24-hours a day, seven days a week for consumers who are experiencing difficulties with their finances," says Suzanne Boas, president of CCCS/Atlanta. "Money problems can be very distracting and disruptive. We want to make sure that consumers receive help immediately." In addition to its eleven branch locations, Consumer Credit Counseling Service began offering telephone counseling three years ago. Theconvenience and privacy of telephone assistance has proven extremely popular with consumers. Telephone counseling now accounts for over 50% of all counseling appointments scheduled. Internet counseling on the agency's Web site, www.cccsatlanta.org , was launched last August. For more information about personal finances, contact CCCS. Consumer Credit Counseling Service is a nonprofit, community service organization that provides free credit counseling and offers debt repayment plans for consumers who are overextended. CCCS negotiates with creditors to reduce or eliminate interest charges for clients who repay their creditors through a CCCS Debt Repayment Plan.
