Today is the day many Fayette booklovers have circled on their calendars.

Barnes & Noble throws open its doors today at 1415 Ga. Highway 85 north in Fayetteville. Residents can wander through 21,000 sq.ft. of books and brows 150,000 titles.

The company designs each store to reflect the community and tailors the book and music selection to match. The Fayetteville store contains an expanded range of books focused on family, education, home reference, cooking and business.

In addition to the variety of books, more than 10,000 music titles and 1,000 videos are offered at the store. The store employs 60 employees and 95 percent are local to Fayetteville and Peachtree City.

Regular store hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m-11 p.m and Sunday 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
