Dallas Burn defeats Silverbacks, 2-0

Major League Soccer's Dallas Burn claimed a 2-0 victory ton Tuesday night against the Atlanta Silverbacks. Dallas Burn's midfielder Oscar Pareja scored the first goal of the game in the seventh minute on an assist from Alavanja. Although the Burn scored a fast goal during the first half of the game, the Silverbacks maintained a strong defensive line throughout the entire match.

New bill protects officials

Governor Roy Barnes recently signed HB 265, a measure aimed at protecting sports officials from angry fans and players. The measure, sponsored by Rep. Stan Watson of Decatur, covers collegiate, high school and any other amateur sports

PTC Bluejays makes the playoffs

The Peachtree City Little League Blue Jays (5-2) are getting ready for the championship playoff games. The team has had a successful season due in part to the outstanding fielding from Jason Albert, Isaac Schiff and.. Pitchers Nathan “Speedy” Enzor and Wynn Copeland pitched their first no-hitter game against the Tigers on May 10. Relief pitcher Jesse Amtmann has been referred to as the John Rocker of the team. Michael Parry has displayed outstanding skills as a catcher. The team has also been assisted by the “heavy bats” of Michael Dibenedetto, Dan Johnson, Brett Hanes and Tristan Thorner.
