Thanks to a great Booth teacher

I have a teacher at J.C. Booth Middle School in Peachtree City named Mr. O'Brien, who teaches my seventh grade World Geography class.

He has been a real inspiration to me. Also his favorite saying that he taught us in the beginning of the school year is that “Failure is not an option.”

At first his background as a paratrooper in the military and still teaching at a local college, I though he expected too much out of us as seventh graders. I was dead wrong!

I have learned so much from him, not just about the world and capitals, but also about me! I've learned that with hard labor, anything is possible. I've learned to never give up on something no matter how much I want to.

In order to achieve my best I have been maintaining an A average all year in his class. He has not only been a wonderful teacher who engages my brain and recognizes my efforts, but he also has been a great friend to me!

His plans are to quit teaching at our school and teach full-time at the college. I will surely miss him as a teacher, just his presence at our school. I feel so happy to have known him and thank him for believing in me when I didn't even believe in myself. Thanks so much for being my teacher this year at Booth.
