Creation vs. evolution will be topic of discussion for 'Dino-Mania' program

In view of the recent movie, “Dinosaur,” River's Edge Community Church will host Dr. Grady McMurty, a Biblical Scientific Creationist, as he speaks on “Dino-Mania” Friday, May 12, at 7 p.m. The public is invited to the free program.

Dr. McMurty, formerly an ardent evolutionist for 20 years, now often serves as an expert witness in school boards' handling of the creation vs. evolution issue. His topic for Friday will be “Dino-Mania: the dinosaurs, the Bible and the fossil record.”

“The first five books of the Bible compose the foundation for the remainder of the Bible, and this includes creation,” said Dr. Sam Calleiro, senior associate pastor of River's Edge. “If a sophisticated world view and/or the devil causes us to disbelieve the Genesis account of creation, it alters the rest of the Bible's content, including our need for a Savior.”

River's Edge Community Church is located near the intersection of County Line, Jeff Davis, North Bridge and Inman Roads in Fayette County. For more information, call 770-719-0303.
