Builders hear from
inspectors Four local
building officials from the five-county area
served by the Home Builders Association of
Midwest Georgia were the program speakers at the
association's March meeting recently at
WhiteWater Country Club.
Addressing
the group about current and future issues in the
home building industry were Tom Carty, building
official for city of Peachtree City; Ron Garrett,
building official for Meriwether County; Ed
Davis, daeputy building official for the city of
Newnan, and David Fjeran, building official for
the city of Franklin and an inspector for Coweta
County.
During
the business portion of the meeting, it was
reported that the organization's recent softball
tournament at McCurry Park in Fayetteville had
been a success, and the participating teams from
Fairburn Ready Mix, Arbor Springs Plantation,
Metro Builders Supply, Leeds Building Products,
and Walker Concrete were thanked.

Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia,
which serves builders in Fayette, Coweta,
Spalding, Heard and Meriwether counties,
