In track, they call it a false start.

In an article Friday, the Starr's Mill Lady Panther track team was incorrectly called region champions. In fact, they were in the lead after the first part of the Region 4-AAA competition, but they had another day to go. The Lady Panthers did not finish in first place in the region meet — Woodward Academy did. Starr's Mill finished in second place with 71 points overall.

The Lady Panthers had first and second place finishers in the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200-meter run.
