Fairburn Community Connection Festival is Saturday

In conjunction with the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 4, the town of Fairburn will celebrate its second annual Community Connection Festival on Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Regions Bank. Some 500 people are expected to attend.

National Day of Prayer activities will be held at the Fairburn City Hall on Thursday.

The purpose of the festival is to promote unity and to enhance effective communication within the relations of government, business, church and the citizens of Fairburn.

"By connecting our community in unity, we will enhance the quality of life and the welfare of the Fairburn community at large," a spokesperson said. "We are expecting approximately 500 people to attend this occasion."

The event will feature games, door prizes, entertainment, singers, speakers and dancers.
