River's Edge to host Community Easter Celebration

Sams Auditorium will be the site of a Community Easter Celebration hosted by River's Edge Community Church in Fayetteville. All members of the community, particularly families without a church home, are invited to the service which will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 23.

Fayette's own John Waller, a national Christian recording artist, will be performing in the Easter service.

“We want to provide a place for believers and pre-Christians who may not have a church home as of yet,” said Rev. John Hatcher, Senior Pastor at River's Edge. “Often many people want to attend a Christian service on Easter but are reluctant because they have not attended on previous Sundays. We want to do away with that guilt trip.”

“It will be a service that blesses all the people, whether they are Christians or not,” Hatcher added.

There will be only one service conducted by River's Edge Easter Sunday, since the seating capacity of Sams Auditorium provides enough room for up to 700 people.

Activities will be provided all preschoolers between the ages of birth to five years while parents participate in the Easter celebration.
