Episcopal Church of the Nativity to celebrate Holy Week in new home

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will celebrate its first Sunday in its new building on Palm Sunday, April 16. The service will start with The Liturgy of the Palms on the lawn of St.Gabriel's Catholic Church beginning at 10:30 AM. Nativity is located next door to St. Gabriel's on Antioch Road in Fayetteville.

Both congregations will participatetogether in the first part of the Palm Sunday service, which includes a procession withpalm branches prior to entering their respective churches.

“There's a wonderful sense of excitement in the air”, said the Rev. Bob Hudak, vicar of Nativity. “It's one thing for a parish to look forward to moving into a new church building. It's something else to do it with neighbors like St. Gabriel's who share a similar liturgical tradition.”

The Church of the Nativity is part of the 92 parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion.

The church is located at 130 Antioch Road. Services are planned for each day of Holy Week, with special emphasis on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Great Vigil of Easter. All are welcome, especially those looking for a new church.

The parish office phone number is 770-460-6390.
