New Hope Baptist Church kicks off first Annual Global Missions Conference today

New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville will begin its first Annual Global Missions Conference today through Sunday, April 16 with activities planned for both the north and south campuses. The opening service is set for this evening from 6:30-7:45 p.m.

The main even of the conference will be a World's Fair to be held at the North Campus on Saturday, April 15 from noon until 5 p.m. There will be rides, costumes, drama, games, face painting, passports, missionary displays, food, prizes and music presented by the children's choir and the musical group “Wings.” A Pizza Blast is planned at the New Hope North chapel from 6-8 p.m.

The conference will host special speakers on various days. Dr, Rick White, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Franklin, Tenn., will speak on opening day, April 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the North Campus.

Rev. Walker Moore, founder of Awe Star Ministries in Tulsa, Okla., will be the speaker on Saturday, April 15 at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. Awe Star is a nonprofit youth organization which seeks to raise up the next generation of Christian missionaries.

Dr. John Avant, senior pastor of New Hope Baptist, will speak at the morning services on Sunday, April 16.

Other happenings include a Global Leadership Seminar, which will host over 150 pastors and church leaders from around the nation,

Special events just for youth are also planned, with music and free pizza. A Youth Event/Rally is scheduled for Friday, April 14 beginning at 6 p.m. at the South Campus Starr's Mill Hall. A free mission trip will be given away.

Senior adults will have the opportunity to get “up close and personal” with the missionaries at a senior adult luncheon at the South Campus on Thursday, April 13 from noon until 1:30 p.m.

Activities will conclude Sunday evening with services at the New Hope North Worship Center from 5:30-7 p.m. Desserts will be served from 7-8 p.m. at the North Chapel.
