Lake Redwine amenities area set to open early this summer

“With all of its other assets, Lake Redwine Plantation's new amenities area will soon offer residents a whole array of recreational choices,” announced Jim Mottola, president of Happy Valley Development Corp., at a ground breaking ceremony recently at the site.

Lake Redwine, a 1,250-acre residential community just north of Newnan in Coweta County, is composed of seven distinctive neighborhoods; they surround the area's largest man-made lake at just over 300 acres. Marketed exclusively by Parks and Mottola Realtors, homes range from the $200's to over $1 million.

The new, six-acre recreational area is set to replace the pool, tennis and all-purpose courts next to the lake that Lake Redwine residents have enjoyed until now. A natural area for picnics and walking will remain at that location, offering access to the lake for everyone.

“In an era of high technology and busy schedules, we just feel that families need the opportunity to spend relaxing time together,” offered Mottola, adding, “There's something for everyone within this complex, and it's close to home.”

In addition to a two-story clubhouse suitable for larger gatherings and available to Lake Redwine residents, a Junior Olympic-sized pool, adult and kiddy pools allow for neighborhood swim team competition or “just for fun” swimming. Four lighted tennis courts will serve the community and encourage team competition, with expansion plans already in the works to include an additional two courts.

Earlier this year, the community's developers announced that fiber optic cable was being installed to offer residents high-speed Internet access and an Intranet within the City of Newnan. From communicating with your child's teacher in the local school system to booking baby-sitters and setting tee times, the intranet has proven to be a valuable tool for both home and work use.

High Garden, the newest neighborhood within Lake Redwine, pays homage to a period in history when sitting on the front porch was a national pastime. Common garden areas and walking trails, along with sidewalks (available throughout the entire community), invite participation in outdoor activities.

According to Mottola, “Many of our inquiries are coming from the north side of Atlanta; the word has gotten out about the quality of life that Newnan and Coweta County offer. We're pleased to make yet another improvement to Lake Redwine and to our region.”

Situated eight minutes from I-85 and 25 minutes from Hartsfield International Airport, Lake Redwine's sales office is open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; the sales office will move into the lower floor of the clubhouse upon completion. For information, phone 770-253-0008.
