Ground broken for Lake Redwine Plantation's new neighborhood, High Garden

An early spring has resulted in a huge increase in the number of people shopping for homes in Newnan and Coweta County.

According to Parks and Mottola Realtors agent Claire Reid, “Lake Redwine Plantation has gained such awareness throughout the entire Atlanta region that we're seeing many people who want to move from the north side.”

Lake Redwine Plantation, a 1,250-acre planned community north of Newnan, has entered phase seven with its newest neighborhood, High Garden. Modeled after Newnan's historic homes, these will feature huge front porches overlooking winding sidewalks. Reflecting Newnan's downtown section, where streets are named after American presidents, floor plans within the neighborhood include The Madison, The Jefferson and others.

Two common garden areas within High Garden are available for residents to enjoy; each has been professionally landscaped. Tree-lined sidewalks are flanked by street lamps that invite evening strolls.

Surrounding Newnan's largest lake (300 acres), Lake Redwine Plantation includes seven distinctive neighborhoods, some of which offer lake side or lake view home sites; estate sites range from two to five acres and overlook the lake.

Ground also was broken this week for the community's new, six-acre amenity area that will include a two-story clubhouse, Junior Olympic-sized and adult pools, along with lighted tennis courts and all-purpose court. Until now, residents have used a pool and courts adjacent to the lake; the site will maintain access to the lake for everyone, along with a natural area for picnics and walking after construction of the new facility is completed.

“We're extremely pleased with the interest in Lake Redwine and High Garden,” added Reid. “Naturally, spring is normally the time when people begin to think about moving, but we've experienced an increase in activity throughout the winter months. That rare and valuable commodity, peace, has definitely been discovered here.”

Lake Redwine Plantation's sales office is open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will move into the lower level of the clubhouse upon completion. For information, phone 770-253-0008.
