Returns sponsors contest To encourage Fayette County residents to recycle, Sweet Returns Recycling is sponsoring an aluminum can recycling contest open to area schools. The goal of the contest is to encourage local residents to celebrate Earth Day and recycle their aluminum cans, copper, scrap metal, brass and nickel. Sweet Returns Recycling is at 205 W. Georgia Ave. in Fayetteville. Students are encouraged to bring their rinsed and flattened cans to Sweet Returns from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 29. The contest is open to all Fayette County schools. Cash prizes, donated by Sweet Returns, will be awarded to the three classes collecting the most cans.
