•Lucent Technologies announced recently that Dana Sipes, a Peachtree City associate, has been named to Lucent's Achievers Club for outstanding performance.

Sipes is an e-business director with Lucent's Enterprise Networks Group and has been named to the Achievers Club for seven years.

Lucent associates who reach the Achievers Club level are honored with an awards ceremony plus recreational events at a popular resort area.

Lucent Technologies designs and delivers the systems, software, silicon and services for next-generation communications networks for service providers and enterprises.

•Peachtree City's Dr. Edward Finucan has been appointed and licensed as a BackSafe and SittingSafe Injury Prevention Consultant by Future Industrial Technologies, an internationally recognized injury prevention company.

The doctors is a spinal care expert with advanced education in biomechanics and ergonomics.

•Cooper Industries, the parent company of Peachtree City's Cooper Lighting, announced that it is acquiring Sigma's B-Line Systems business for $425 million.

B-Line Systems manufactures and markets a complete line of metal products used in the installation and retrofitting of electrical, mechanical and telecommunications applications.

•The Home Inspection Institute of America recently renewed the designation of Certified Home Inspector to Fayetteville's Bernard Dawson.

The institute certifies only home inspectors who have pledged to uphold the rigid standards and Code of Ethics of the Institute.
