Locust Grove UMC offers `Walk Through Jerusalem'

The public is invited to experience a “Walk Through Jerusalem” presented by the Locust Grove United Methodist Drama ministry Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, April 14, 15 and 16 at the church on Peeksville Rd. in Locust Grove. McDonough Road Baptist plans blood drive

Members of McDonough Road Baptist Church will have a blood drive Wednesday, March 29 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. The LifeSouth Bloodmobile will be in the front parking lot of the church on McDonough Road. All donors must present a photo identification, be at least 17 years of age, and weigh at least 103 lbs. A free cholesterol screening will be given to each donor. “Parents' Day Out' applications being accepted

North Fayette United Methodist Church is currently accepting applications for its 2000-2001 school year Parents' Day Out program. The program is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and is for children ages three months to four years. There is a discount for early registration. Rolling Hills Baptist announces new schedule

Rolling Hills Baptist Church has begun a new Sunday morning schedule. Sunday School and Bible Study for all ages will be held at 9:30 a.m. The Friendship Cafe opens at 10:30 a.m. for coffee, juice and doughnuts. Fayetteville First UMC plans Easter egg hunt

An Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is planned for Sunday, April 16 at 3 p.m. at the Play Park on Huiet Rd. The event is open to babies and children through third grade.

FUMC accepting 2000-2001 preschool applications

The Child Development Center at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is accepting applications for the 2000-2001 school year. Classes are planned for three-year-olds (must be three by Sept. 1) and four-year-olds (must be four by Sept. 1). A one-time, non-refundable registration fee is required at the time of registration. Noah's Ark Holiness Church schedules gospel sing

Noah's Ark Holiness Church will have a gospel singing, on Saturday, April 15 at 7 p.m. Featured groups are Noah's Ark Holiness Church's own “Heart Song,” “Inheritance” and “ New Harmony” from north Alabama, and “Sacred Aires” from Dalton. Jewish/Christian Intermarriage support group forming

A southside Jewish/Christian intermarriage support group is forming in the Fayette County area. `Born Again Bargains' now open in Fairburn

Southwest Christian Hospice's “Born Again Bargains” store, which had its grand reopening last August, continues to offer used items at bargain prices with proceeds going to a hospice projects and expenses. The store is in Hudson Plaza on U.S. Hwy. 29 in Fairburn. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays. Southwest Christian Hospice, located on Lester Rd. in Union City, is a nonprofit ministry providing quality hospice health care at no cost to patients or their families.

Kids for Christ group meets Wednesdays at FFUMC

Crafts, stories, music and more are planned for children three years to fifth grade every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Activities begin following the fellowship dinner. In addition, children in fourth and fifth grades are invited to participate in Pre-UMYF every Sunday evening beginning with a music program at 6 p.m. followed by activities. Flat Creek Baptist schedules annual Easter Pageant

Members of Flat Creek Baptist Church will present their annual Easter pageant, “The Life of Christ,” Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 14, 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. A matinee performance also is scheduled for Saturday, April 15.
