'King
George and the Ducky' makes its debut in Fayetteville
this Sunday Big Idea Productions and Sonrise Christian Bookstore announce the Fayetteville premiere showing of King George and the Ducky, the newest release from the popular Veggie Tales video series on Saturday, April 1 at 11 a.m. The viewing, which is open to the public, will be held at Fayette Place Plaza Theater, site of the old Dollar Theater and current home of Fayette Community Church. King George and the Ducky is the 13th title in the Veggie Tales series. Larry Boy and the Rumor Weed, which was released last year, was 1999's top selling video in the Christian Booksellers Association market. King George features the return of everyone's favorite veggies: Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber, Junior Asparagus and the whole wacky gang. Newsweek calls Veggie Tales a smash hit. The Washington Post likes the first rate computer animation, inspired scripts and the infectious, wacky sense of humor. The Detroit News says Veggie Tales create well-crafted, entertaining animated stories that gently spread such values as loving others, thankfulness, forgiveness and sharing. Veggie Tales are the creation of Big Idea productions, a family media company committed to providing wildly entertaining tools to help parents teach children important life lessons, a spokesperson said. Using award-winning computer animation and an innovative approach to storytelling, the multimedia company creates products that are effective and fun tools for teaching today's kids timeless values, all rooted in truths from the Bible. It's Sunday morning values, Saturday morning fun. Tickets are $1, and may be purchased at Sonrise Christian Bookstore in Fayetteville, The Olive Branch Christian Store in Peachtree City, and The Ark in Newnan.
